II. JOB PURPOSE

Lead provisioning of Managed Security Services (MSS) within the company; accountable for the technical validity and interoperability of solutions and the direct relationship with the customers’ requirements and strategic business plans

III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Head of Secure Services in developing strategies to expand the portfolio of services offered and improve the efficiency and consistency of service delivery
  • Identify new business ideas to drive the Security Services products forward
  • Lead research of security best practices and innovations for compliance with industry standards and developments, including emerging best practices, technology, and innovations.
  • Lead development and scoping of solutions for clients and ensure technical validity and interoperability of solutions and the direct relationship with the clients’ requirements and plans
  • Supervise monitoring and analyzing security services for clients and supervise responses to security threats (e.g. threats to security threats from Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Antivirus (AV), Network Access Control (NAC) and other security threat data sources)
  • Ensure responses in a timely manner (within documented SLA) to support, threat and other cases
  • Lead, implement, and sustain standardization of service for the security services performed at local, state, regional, and portfolio levels
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and security practices
  • Ensure appropriate documentation for each step is taken and all recommendations to the Government and other clients are being implemented
  • Lead modification and enhancement of proposals

  • Ensure adherence to operating budget of Secure Services Unit

People

  • Develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets and take leadership positions
  • Manage the team on a daily basis including resolving issues and maintaining high motivation levels within the team
  • Complete accurate, objective and fact-based performance appraisals for all direct reportees on time
  • Provide input to performance appraisals of peers

  1. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • Masters degree in Related Security field, IT, Computer Science
  • Five to eight years specialized experience in the following areas: Managed Security Services and security operations and programs
  • Understanding of core Internet protocols with strong TCP / IP networking skills
  • Very good understanding of operating system and file system fundamentals, with an in-depth familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix
  • Very good understanding of encryption fundamentals
  • Good understanding of data privacy laws and experience interacting with Legal and Compliance professionals
  • Solid grounding in Information Security principles and practices
  • Certifications CISSP / CCNA are a plus
