BCP Coordinator

The Business Continuity Plan Coordinator (BCPC) is responsible for planning, development, maintenance and testing. The BCPC is responsible for receiving and evaluating the initial report of any impact to the operational capabilities of the facility. In a disaster situation, the BCPC will contact the O&T Head and provide all available details. If the decision is made to invoke the Business Continuation procedures, the BCPC will carry out the emergency notification process.

Functions Include:

  • Coordinate activities of the Administrative and other Support Teams.
  • Provide assistance to business teams in planning and actual recovery operation.
  • Maintenance and testing of all Business Continuation Plans.
  • Receive and evaluate all BIA reports and notifies the CMT with critical items as appropriate.
  • Communication of notifications / escalation of performance issues between business owners and support groups, in addition to evaluation of the overall progress against objective and reporting to Operation & Administration Head, as well as to O&T Head.
  • Business Continuity Reporting (i.e. Quarterly reports, compliance, status reports, etc.)
  • Regular update of BCP site on ADIB Portal with guidelines, notifications, announcements, etc…
  • Provide support at the time of disaster
  • Manage BCP Incident Reporting
  • Establish and maintain Emergency Standards and Procedures § Develop and maintain techniques to:
    • Provide rapid evacuation and emergency care for injured personnel.
    • Notify and confirm availability of Recovery Team leaders and key vendors.
    • Interface with Security to ensure protection of premises and assets during an emergency situation.

Records Maintenance:

BCP Coordinator should verify maintenance of the following:

  • Periodic update of DRP and Call Tree
  • Follow up on execution of action plan (if any)
  • Update regulatory requirements
  • Process / personnel changes
  • Budget preparation
  • Management of the Cost Center

Based on test results and actual experience, BCP Coordinator should refine, enhance and update the plan to be more comprehensive.

Document test results and develop corrective action plan in case of any deficiencies.

After returning to business as usual, prepare an event impact and lessons learned reports for presentation to the O&T Head.
